The resumption of miraa exports to Somalia has earned farmers and traders Sh221 million in just four days. Head of Miraa Pyrethrum and other Industrial Crops Felix Mutwiri announced that Kenya had exported 81.4 tonnes of miraa to Mogadishu four days after the market was opened.  This represented products from 19 traders from the 22 who had applied to be cleared to access the lucrative Somalia market. We have so far exported 81.4 tonnes in the last four days and we expect the volumes to grow in the coming days as more people are cleared to ship out the commodity,” she said. Nairobi’s first Level 5 hHospital will finally open its doors to  patients this week, Nairobi Metropolitan Services has said. The Sh400 million five–storey Korogocho-Mathare hospital is expected to reduce the patient load at Mama Lucy Hospital, which serves more than 2.1 million people in Eastlands area. NMS director general Mohamed Badi last week told the Senate Health Committee that it is expected President Uhuru Kenyatta will commission the hospital this week. “Construction works at the Korogocho – Mathare hospital are complete and we are hoping it will be commissioned by His Excellency in the first week of November ,” he said. President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga on Thursday toured the new green park bus terminal at Railway club. The two inspected various projects within Nairobi they started with Green Park Terminus. Uhuru and Raila were seen walking as they looked around the terminus accompanied by government officials.
