Police Officer Dies By Suspected Suicide In Kirinyaga

A police officer attached to the Kerugoya Police station in Kirinyaga County was on Wednesday found hanging from the roof of his rented house in Kerugoya town. His caretaker, Ann Wanjiru, said that she had gone to check up on him because he had been missing since Monday. Wanjiru said that after efforts to try and open the door turned futile, she decided to use an object to peep through the window, where she discovered a body hanging from the roof. "I tried to open it in vain as the door was locked from inside. I was shocked after seeing the body I immediately called the authorities," Wanjiru said. 6-year-old boy was fatally shot in the head this week by a 9-year-old boy who got a hold of a gun inside a Florida home, authorities said.
