Tokyo Olympics: Kenya Finally Wins First Medal Through Benjamin Kigen

Kigen won the medal after he clocked 8.11.45 to finish third in the final of men's 3000m steeplechase. Kenya lined up two athletes in the event, with Kigen being joined by compatriot Abraham Kibiwott, both of whom made it to the final of the competition. While the country has previously dominated in the race, it was a whole different story in Tokyo as Morocco's Soufiane El Bakkali triumphed to win gold. Ethiopian L. Girma posted 8.10.38 to cart home the silver medal, with Kigen completing the top three podium. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are among 12 clubs who have agreed to join a new European Super League (ESL). In a seismic move for European football, the Premier League clubs will join AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid. Former Harambee Stars Striker Dennis Oliech has for the first time revealed how costly the treatment of his late mother Mary Auma and brother Kevin Opiyo. In an Interview with Mozzart Sports, Oliech disclosed that he used up to Sh124 million on their treatment (mother and brother), after they were diagnosed with Cancer that they later succumbed to. The footballer made the revelation why responding to a question on why he sold a number of his properties and the regrets he has in life. National government to take over construction of Dandora stadium

City Hall is considering handing over stalled Dandora Stadium to the national government for its completion. This follows delays by the stadium’s contractor to return on site to complete the construction of the Sh350 million facility. Nairobi County Education and Sports Executive Janet Ouko said they are mulling engaging the State Department for Public Works, in a government-to-government agreement, to take over the remaining bit of work at the stadium. This as efforts to have the contractor, M/S Scanjet Construction Limited, back on site to finalise the remaining construction works has proven futile.
