Sossion says Electoral System Needs To Be Digitized During Polls
With only 70 days until the August General Elections, Nominated Member of Parliament Wilson Sossion has called for the electoral process to be digitized in order to prevent any electoral malpractices.
During an interview on Citizen TV's Daybreak Show on Tuesday, Sossion stressed the importance of having a digitized system, which, he claims, will allow for immediate results transmission and ensure process credibility.
"Going by history there has always been a deliberate interference of the electoral process in this country," noted Sossion.
"And one of the key recommendations is that we must completely digitalize our electoral system and that results must be transmitted digitally and in real time."
