Earlier today in day two of the World Rally Championships held in Kenya for the first time in many years, Tejveer Rai was involved in a car crash. He bowed out of the competition after the crash which saw him being airlifted to the hospital. New details reaching us just now is that Tejveer Rai Shattered his spine in the accident. This is one of the worst injuries that one can suffer in an accident and it has emerged that he will be flown to Germany. He will be taken to Germany where he will receive specialized treatment to correct this injury and possibly save his life. After all the hype and bubble, the much anticipated Safari Rally Kenya finally comes alive this morning. The legendary event returns to the FIA World Rally Championship calendar for the first time since 2002. Two Major Nairobi Highways to avoid Tomorrow

Police have advised motorists and commuters alike to be clear of major metropolitan highways on Thursday, June 24. The World Rally Championship will be flagged off at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC), thereby warranting the low-density use of Uhuru and Thika Highways between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. This comes as a public safety concern for both rally participants and a majority of road users. The vehicles will then pass through Parliament Road, Haile Selassie Avenue, Uhuru Highway, Wangari Mathai Road, and then head on to Kasarani through Thika Road.
