Three men arrested for selling Narcotics in Mwingi town.

Three suspects were on Monday night arrested after they were found selling narcotic drugs including heroin in Mwingi town. John Musya, Paul Mumo and Julius Musya aged between 23-24 were arrested as they hawked heroin concealed in seven sachets. DCI boss George Kinoti said the suspects sell the illegal drugs to twilight girls, who moonlight in the busy town for bread and butter. Kinoti said over 10 rolls of bhang were also recovered from the suspects. The suspects were placed in custody pending arraignment in court for being in possession and trafficking in narcotics. A missing Kenyan-Somali researcher who was abducted from the city centre in Nairobi has been released. The family of Abdiwahab Sheikh Abdisamad who was the executive director of the Institute for Horn of Africa Strategic Studies and an analyst at Southlink Consultants says he was released Sunday evening. The details of his release are yet to be made public. His wife Halima Mohamed confirmed the cleric had been released. Kenya will next year start manufacturing Covid-19 vaccines locally in collaboration with unnamed pharmaceutical firms in a move aimed at easing supply hitches that have derailed mass inoculation. Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe revealed in an internal vaccination blue print that the country has started the process of building a filling plant for the Covid-19 vaccines. Some 22 suspected migrants who were abducted by gunmen at a hotel in Mexico have been rescued, authorities say. They were kidnapped when armed men stormed the Sol y Luna hotel in the central city of Matehuala in the early hours of Tuesday. The victims, who include children and a pregnant woman, are mostly from Haiti and Cuba, Reuters news agency reported. Earlier accounts had said some were Venezuelan.
