The visiting Malawian First Lady spoke during a guided tour of an ongoing Beyond Zero medical camp dubbed mini-medical safari at the ‘Nyumba ya Wazee’, old people’s home in Kasarani by her host Margaret. Monica highlighted that she was impressed by the creative healthcare delivery model of mobile clinics and medical safaris and wished to replicate the same in Malawi. Alec Baldwin was filming a scene for a movie that required someone to fire a gun loaded with blanks, but when the gun discharged either shrapnel or a bullet hit 2 people on set ... one of whom had to be airlifted to a hospital. Our sources tell us the incident happened Thursday on location in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Alec is filming a new western he's starring in called "Rust" at the Bonanza Creek Ranch, a movie ranch. We're told Alec was filming the scene when someone pulled the prop gun's trigger. Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera is set to arrive in Kenya on Tuesday, for a three-day State visit. In a statement, State House spokesperson, Kanze Dena Mararo, said Chakwera, who will be accompanied by First Lady Monica, will be the chief guest at this year's Mashujaa Day celebrations. The fete will be held at Wang'uru Stadium in Kirinyaga county on Wednesday. Chakwera and his delegation will be officially received at State House, Nairobi by President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Thursday. 3 police officers arrested over escape of suspected serial child killer Masten Wanjala

At least three police officers were on Wednesday evening arrested and locked up in cells over the escape of suspected child serial killer Masten Wanjala. The officers included the Jogoo Road police station deputy Officer Commanding Station and two others who were on duty. They are likely to be produced in court on Thursday with charges of aiding the escape of the suspect from lawful custody and negligence of duties. They were picked up from their work station and taken to Nairobi Area command for grilling before being detained at Capitol Hill cells ahead of the arraignment.
