American pop star and entrepreneur, Rihanna has made her first appearance on Forbes' annual billionaires list. According to a publication by the Forbes, the 34-year-old worth a cool Ksh.197 billion ($1.7 billion), attributing most of her wealth to her successful business ventures and beauty. Her music adds up to the least stake. RiRi’s stake in her Fenty Beauty—the fastest-growing cosmetics line—makes up the majority of her wealth. Key highlights of 2022/23 Budget

The budget is Sh3.31 trillion. This is 4.8 per cent more compared to the Sh2.9 trillion budget for the 2020/21 fiscal year. The Budget comes two months earlier than the usual June date. This is to allow sufficient preparation for the August 9 general elections. The budget will be the last under President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime. It will cover expenditure for the period between July 1, 2022, to June 31, 2023. The national government will take the biggest chunk of the monies- Sh2.07 trillion. The majority of national government expenditure will go to the Executive – Sh2.01 trillion. Parliament will take Sh38.4 billion. Judiciary will get Sh18.8 billion. KEBS Probing Kinder Joy Chocolate Products Over Health Concerns

The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) has put Italian candy maker Ferrero, which makes Kinder Joy chocolate, on notice over safety concerns after European markets pulled the product from supermarket shelves due to health concerns. European authorities halted the popular chocolate product, which is popular among children, on a precautionary recall due to salmonella outbreak fears. In an interview with Business Daily, KEBS managing director Bernard Njiraini stated that all products sold in Kenya will be tested for safety before any further action is taken. Kenya Defence Forces' capacity for operations received a boost when China handed them an assortment of vehicles and engineering equipment. Cabinet Secretary for Defence Eugene Wamalwa received the wares as Military Aid Gratis to the Kenya Army at Kahawa Garrison in Nairobi. Ukrainian authorities have found the bodies of five civilians with their hands tied in a village west of Kiev, including those of the mayor, her husband and son. Police showed AFP journalists four bodies, including that of the mayor, half buried in a grave in a pine forest bordering her house in Motyzhyn. A fifth body was found in a little well in the garden. The dead, including two men not part of the mayor's family, had their hands tied behind their backs.
