The 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend is here

 Lebron James of Los Angeles Lakers and Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets) are the captains of the two teams in this year's All-Star Game set for Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. Both players earned the honors by finishing with more fan votes than anyone in their respective conferences. James and Durant picked their respective teams, a format the league first instituted in 2018, and the draft was packed with memorable quotes and a peculiar player selection. They also chose which charities they'd play for, with James choosing his I Promise School and Durant choosing the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Raptors Extend their win eight games over thrash Rockets

Gary Trent Jr. and Pascal Siakam combined for 72 points and the Toronto Raptors extended their winning streak to eight games with a 139-120 road victory over the Houston Rockets on Thursday. Trent scored a season-high 42 points while Siakam added 30 before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Trent finished 6-for-13 on 3-pointers and had four assists, as did Siakam. Trent also recorded five steals. It wasn't until the final minute of the third quarter that one of their teammates joined them in double figures in scoring, with Chris Boucher doing so with a pair of free throws at the 1:08 mark. Nikola Jokic gets tossed, but Nuggets top Wizards

Nikola Jokic had 28 points, 19 rebounds and nine assists before being ejected, Monte Morris scored 22 points and the host Denver Nuggets beat the Washington Wizards 113-107 on Monday night. Aaron Gordon had 16 points and Jeff Green scored 13 for the Nuggets, who held a 33-point lead in the third quarter but had to hold on. Jokic was tossed midway through the fourth period after arguing calls with two different referees after the same passage of play. Davis Bertans scored 21 points, Bradley Beal had 19 points and 10 assists, Aaron Holliday added 18 and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 13 for Washington.
