Mutyambai son to face charges over fatal accident
A son to Inspector General of Police Hilary Mutyambai is likely to be charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving following an accident that occurred Thursday in Nairobi.
David Mwendwa Mutyambai was driving the four wheel drive car that was involved in the accident.
Mwendwa is also likely to be charged with causing serious injuries to a pedestrian following the accident.
He is out on Sh20,000 cash bail as police investigate the incident along Southern Bypass in Nairobi.
The file on the accident is likely to be sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution with the recommendations.
Police are also likely to ask the ODPP to open an inquest into the accident based on the accounts of Mwendwa and passengers who were on board the double cabin car....
