Bandits Kill three in Laikipia attack.

Three people have been killed when suspected bandits raided a home at Ndindika Village, Ngarua division in Laikipia County. One person was injured in an attempted cattle rustling near Laikipia Nature Conservancy. The bandits had driven hundreds animals from different homesteads but were intercepted by security. After a few hours, the bandits returned to the village in bid to revenge over the recovery of the animals. National Police Service spokesman Bruno Shiosi said the incident occurred on Sunday at 4pm. Ex-MP Lempurkel arrested over Laikipia skirmishes

Former Laikipia North MP Mathew Lempurkel has been arrested from his home in Rongai, Kajiado County over ongoing clashes in Laikipia. He was later moved to the DCI Nairobi area for questioning and possible transfer to other places including Nakuru and Nanyuki. It is not clear what he was being accused of over the clashes in Laikipia but police said he was a person of interest and would be allowed to talk to journalists later. His supporters started to mill outside the Nairobi DCI offices on learning he was there. The former MP was later driven to Milimani law courts by police who were armed with a sworn affidavit.
