Kenya Methodist University Bans Dreadlocks, Mini skirts and 5 more outfits
The Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) has introduced a new dress code barring female students from wearing tumbo cuts and miniskirts as well as various other clothing the institution has deemed inappropriate.
In a memo dated January 5, 2022, Dean of Students Dr. Esther Mbaabu noted that female students who wear see through clothing and body tight trousers will be in breach of the newly introduced dress code.
"All students are required to comply with the University code of dressing and wear appropriate attire during study, at meal times in the dining hall and in all university functions," said Dr. Mbaabu in the memo.
