President Ruto to hold media roundtable interview today

President William Ruto will on Wednesday evening hold a media roundtable interview with local and international media houses. The interview that will air live across TV and radio stations comes just a few days after he marked his first 100 days in office. The development was announced by State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed on Tuesday. The President marked his 100 days on December 22, 2022. IEBC awards ballot papers tender to Greek firm Lykos

The electoral agency has awarded the tender for ballot papers and the voter register for use in the 2022 general election to a Greek firm at about Sh2.8 billion. Documents obtained by the Star reveal that the commission settled upon Inform Lykos (Hellas) as its provider for the materials in a framework contract for three years. The Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission, in a notice to one of the bidders, said Inform Lykos was the bid with the lowest evaluated responsive price at 7,172.85 Euros (Sh921,326) for 3,000 ballot papers. BBI judgement to be delivered in open court on Friday

The much anticipated BBI judgement will be delivered in open court on Friday this week. In a communication to parties, the court of appeal says the judgement will be read by the seven judges in open court. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, only 16 lawyers will be allowed in the court while the rest will follow proceedings online. Court of Appeal Deputy Registrar Lorraine Ogombe says each side should select 8 lawyers who will be in court. The parties have until the end of Wednesday to choose and forward the names of the 16 lawyers to the court.
