KCSE Exams Begin Countrywide

The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) main examinations officially began on Monday morning.  Officials from the Ministry of Education arrived at various exam collection centres early in the morning to oversee the distribution of exam materials. Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang led the exercise at the Westlands DCC centre, while Teachers Service Commission (CEO) Nancy Macharia oversaw the exam distribution at the Mvita centre in Mombasa County. KCPE And KPSEA Exams Kick Off

Candidates in class eight and those in grade six will today begin their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations.  The exercise has already kicked off countrywide as Education ministry officials and exam supervisors availed themselves at exam collection centres this morning.  President Ruto is expected to oversee the exercise in Kikuyu, Kiambu County on Monday morning. KCSE Kicks Off With Practical Exams Amid KUPPET strike threats

KCSE candidates will begin their practical exams on Monday amid threats by KUPPET to disrupt the exercise over pay grievances. The candidates held rehearsals on Friday last week in readiness for the exams. Theory tests will begin on Monday, March 14, and end on Friday, April 1. The candidates concluded project exams in January that started in July 2021. They are Art and design, Agriculture, Woodwork, Metalwork, Building construction and Computer Studies. Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha on Friday assured that the remaining exams will go on smoothly despite a strike threat by teachers over a salary dispute. KCPE, KCSE candidates listing Extended by two weeks

The Government has extended the registration of KCPE, KCSE candidates by two weeks. "This is to give an opportunity to schools to ensure all candidates are registered, in the spirit of leaving no child behind in the education sector," Magoha said in a statement on Monday. The final registration deadline is August 14, 2021. The registration exercise was scheduled to close on July 31, 2021.  Magoha said headteachers and principals should ensure that all bona fide candidates are registered for the examination within the final two weeks. "Any candidate who fails to register for the 2021 examination to be sat in March 2022 will only be allowed to sit the examination in December 2022," he said. KCPE results out in two weeks.

KCPE examination results will be out in the next two weeks,This was said by  Education CS George Magoha. Magoha announced this on Monday in Kisumu saying they are on the right track with only the marking of Kiswahili Insha and English Composition currently ongoing. The CS said the invigilator in Kitui who sent away a pupil during the composition examination will be dealt with and will face the law. He however said the pupil will be graded minus the composition exam. Magoha told school heads and education officers to be extra careful because a few of them were 'playing' with the examination papers after taking them from the containers.
