Hip hop enthusiasts in Kenya have a year to look forward to after legendary American rap maestro Kanye West, alias Ye, announced he could be coming to Kenya later this year. Ye took to social media to reveal that he is set to perform in Nairobi, at the Nyayo National Stadium, on December 7, 2024. In the list of some of the world venues he is set to perform, Kenya is among the three African countries he will visit. The other two are Ethiopia and Egypt. Egypt, he will perform at the Cairo International Stadium, and in Nigeria, his fans will meet him at the Eko Energy City. Kanye West apparently hasn't done himself any favors in uploading his Andre 3000 collaboration "Life Of The Party" on his Stem Player device … the song is now at the center of a lawsuit filed by the record company that owns a famous track by KRS-One’s Boogie Down Productions. The company says it owns the copyright to BDP’s iconic diss track "South Bronx" and claims Ye never got permission to sample the song when he released the "Donda" bonus track on the Stem Player. The suit alleges the sides never came to an agreement and says Ye’s side eventually retracted its offer to license it. However, the suit claims Ye & Co. still heavily advertised the track that used the “South Bronx” sample to promote sales of “Donda” and the Stem Player.

Texas minister is suing Kanye West, saying the rapper, producer and entrepreneur used a recording of one of his sermons without permission in the song "Come to Life." Dallas County, Texas, pastor David Paul Moten sued West, his label Universal Music Group (UMG.AS), and its subsidiaries Def Jam Recordings and the West-founded G.O.O.D. Music on Tuesday in Dallas federal court. The copyright infringement lawsuit says at least two sections of "Come to Life" feature excerpts from Moten's sermon. Kanye has now lawyered up to handle custody issues in his divorce, and we're told this will end up before a judge, unless he reaches some agreement with kim. Here's the issue. Up until now, there has been no formal schedule and they they have tried working it out amongst themselves. When Kanye's in town and wants to see the kids, she's game, unless the kids are in the middle of something else. There's clearly a conflict, and it's getting worse. We're told Spector will first try to establish something more formal between Kim and Kanye, but if that doesn't happen she'll go to court and ask a judge to impose ground rules for custody and visitation.
