Johnny Depp ‘Could Return’ to Star in Pirates of the Caribbean in a KSh 35b Deal

The actor who recently won a defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard had been dropped from his role as Captain Jack Sparrow. Depp is in talks with Disney in a deal that is worth a whopping KSh 35 billion. Depp was the main cast in five Pirates movies over the past 15 years but was dropped after the release of the Black Pearl in Dead Men Tell No Tales, which was released in 2017. The actor was awarded KSh 975.6 million in compensatory damages after the jury deliberated and reached a decision in his suit against Depp was also awarded punitive damages and the elated Depp said he was humbled and that the jury had given him back his life after the ruling. Actor Johnny Depp concluded his testimony in his defamation trial against Amber Heard in a Fairfax, Virginia court on Monday. His fourth day on the stand, Depp was cross-examined by Heard's attorney, Ben Rottenborn. He was asked about audio recordings of arguments with Heard and whether she was the only person who had a problem with his alcohol abuse. Depp, known for his work in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, is suing Heard for $50 million in a Fairfax County, Virginia court over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which wrote about her experience with domestic abuse.
