Nairobi Man Charged With Stealing Cooking Oil, Sugar, Rice From A Supermarket
A man was charged on Wednesday with stealing cooking oil from Naivas Supermarket.
Alvin Linus Chivondo was charged with stealing 2 litres of cooking oil at the Naivas Supermarket along Moi Avenue.
According to the prosecution, the 21-year-old man also stole 5 kgs of rice , honey, tea leaves and sugar, all totaling Ksh. 3,165.
He pleaded guilty before the court.
The court heard that he posed as a customer, picking the items from the shelves before packing them into a non-woven carrier bag.
He was intercepted while attempting to exit the supermarket without paying.
