A radio station in Nakuru County was reportedly robbed while presenters were live on air on Thursday night. The robbery at the Mwinjoyo FM studios, which was caught on camera in a now viral video, occurred as the presenters were going about their show normally. Midway through the video, a group of gun-wielding men in dark clothing and masks are seen storming the studio and ordering the presenters to switch off the transmission and lie on the floor. At some point, one of the thugs confronts one of the presenters who is already lying down, asking them “nini unafanya wewe?” (what are you doing?) before stepping on them. They then proceed to query the presenters on whether there is somebody else in the premises, presumably at an office upstairs, and whether there are CCTV came...

Police hunting for gunman captured on camera robbing Eastleigh resident

Police are looking for a gunman who was captured on a CCTV camera robbing a man while brandishing his gun in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area. The man was captured in a video that has gone viral after the incident that happened on Eighth Street. Police say the man was caught brandishing a pistol outside Amore restaurant last Thursday before making away with the victim’s valuables. Detectives have already received possible clues on the person and are pursuing leads on his whereabouts and motive. Nairobi deputy police boss James Mugera said they want to interrogate the suspect as part of efforts to solve the crime.
