President William Ruto arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday morning. Ruto was welcomed to Saudi by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Governor of Riyadh. He is scheduled to attend the inaugural Saudi-African Summit scheduled to take place at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre. According to the event organisers, the summit will host 50 leaders from the Middle East and Africa. DCI Launches Manhunt for Rowdy Protestors Captured on Camera

On Friday, March 24, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations announced that investigations were underway to arrest individuals captured on camera vandalising public property during the Monday, March 20 protests.  In a statement, the DCI ordered all individuals captured in the photos and footage shared from the demos to surrender themselves at the unit's headquarters before the close of business (5 pm) on Friday, March 24. Ruto To Begin 3-Day Visit To South Nyanza

President William Ruto is from Thursday set to embark on a three-day visit to the South Nyanza region, his first since assuming office in August last year.  The tour will see him visit Kisii, Nyamira and Migori counties. In Kisii County on Thursday, the Head of State is expected to begin with the launch of the Kegati Water Project in Nyaribari Chache Constituency at 11 a.m., from where he will head to West Mugirango to launch the Sironga Housing Project, Constituency at 1 p.m. Thereafter, Ruto will commission upgrading of the Gekano-Rigoma-Amabuko Road in Kitutu Masaba Constituency. State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamedon Wednesday said President Ruto will hold meetings with leaders in the regions.

Kenya Receives Additional Ksh.15.5 Billion Financing From IMF

Kenya has unlocked Ksh.15.5 billion ($127.4 million) in additional financing from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This follows successful discussions to amend the country’s ongoing program with the multi-lateral lender to provide additional financing. A move by Zimbabwe to suspend lending by banks will backfire, create a parallel banking system and usurp efforts to fix the moribund economy, the country's captains of commerce warned Monday.
