Saudi-led coalition launches deadly air raids in Yemen’s capital Sanaa

The Saudi-led coalition has carried out air raids in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, killing more than 12 people, according to residents, a day after the Houthi rebel group launched a deadly attack in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Saudi Arabia and the UAE intervened in Yemen’s war in 2015 to restore the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who fled after Houthi rebels took over the capital and parts of northern Yemen in late 2014. The UAE largely scaled down its military presence in the country in 2019 but continues to hold sway through the Yemeni forces it arms and trains. 150 people trapped on roof of Hong Kong building after fire

About 150 people were trapped on the roof of Hong Kong's World Trade Centre on Wednesday after a fire broke out in the building located in the bustling commercial and shopping district of Causeway Bay, police said. Firefighters were battling the blaze with two water jets, the government said, employing ladders and breathing apparatus in the effort to rescue those trapped. Broadcaster RTHK quoted police as saying about 100 people moved from a restaurant to the 39th floor when the fire broke out and smoke filled the dining area. Seven women and a man were among the eight people taken to hospital, one of them semi-conscious, police said. Outside the building, the scene was calm after firefighters cordoned off the area.

Mama Ngina Girls Secondary school closed after attempted arson

Mama Ngina Girls' Secondary School has been closed down indefinitely after an attempted arson by the students at around 5am of Wednesday morning. Mombasa County Director of Education Peter Magiri confirmed that fire broke out in one of the ablution blocks within the school compound when the girls were preparing for the morning preps. He said all the girls have been sent home as they launch further investigation into the incident. Mama Ngina is the only girls' national secondary school in Mombasa County. This is the first school unrest incident to be reported in Mombasa. Police, County education officers are currently at the school, following up on the incident. More to follow

Scary moment in the WWE on Monday night ... Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan during "RAW" -- and the wrestler needed droves of security to help get the guy off of him. It all went down just seconds after the superstar had beaten Finn Balor in the ring at Barclays Center in New York ... when a man left his seat, jumped some railing, and speared Rollins while the 35-year-old was on his way back to the locker room. Video shot by fans standing next to the altercation is WILD -- the man absolutely rocked Rollins ... taking him to the ground in violent fashion. Rollins was able to fight back long enough for WWE refs and security to help him -- and fortunately, Seth was able to wriggle free and avoid any serious injury.
