Kenya will remain suspended indefinitely from all international football competitions over government interference after the decision was ratified at the FIFA Congress in Doha on Thursday. The Kenyan government has had a one-month window to relinquish management of the country’s football and allow the beleaguered Football Kenya Federation (FKF) back in charge. The FKF was dissolved in November last year by the Ministry of Sports over alleged misappropriation of funds with a caretaker committee appointed to run the affairs of Kenyan football. That committee remains in charge although it is approaching the end of its six-month mandate after which elections to vote in the next FKF administration are to be held.
