Kate Moss Opens Up About The ‘Painful’ Side Of Modeling

British supermodel Kate Moss has revealed some past pitfalls from her modeling career in a rare interview with BBC podcast series Desert Island Discs. Moss, who told T magazine in 2010 that she "just hate(s)" talking with the media -- and that as a young model she "used to get very ill just worrying" about interviews she'd given -- opened up to host Lauren Laverne about "painful" experiences she underwent in the industry. Iconic shoots that helped define her career were oftentimes "difficult and painful" behind the scenes, according to Moss. While shooting the seminal 1992 Calvin Klein underwear campaign featuring her and Mark Wahlberg, for example, Moss told Laverne she felt "vulnerable and scared." "(Wahlberg) was very macho and it was all about him, he had a big entourage,...

Three hundred and sixty-four cannabis plants, according to NPS, were found on the farm believed to belong to Joseph Ng'ang'a, a suspect in the case. The Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling later on Friday on whether or not former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko was properly impeached from office. Despite being cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to contest for Mombasa County's governor seat at the August polls, the new ruling may make or break Sonko's political career since persons who have been impeached from office are automatically barred from assuming public positions. Chief Justice Martha Koome announced on Thursday, that the Supreme Court bench, consisting of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu and Justices Mohammed Ibrahim, Smokin Wanjala, Njoki Ndung’u, Isaac Lenaola and William Ouko, will issue a ruling on Sonko's fate Friday afternoon, which will be relayed to the former gover...

Uganda Arrests Eight Protesting Over Living Costs

Prices of petroleum products, imported raw materials and food have been rising in recent months, a crisis being experienced globally following the war in Ukraine. In a televised national address on Sunday night, Mr Museveni said that government subsidies or removal of import taxes would collapse the economy. There would be a haemorrhage of dollars from the national reserves for the purchase of those expensive products, he added. Mr Museveni said Uganda will need to frugally use the imported items it can afford. He advised citizens to substitute expensive wheat with locally available food such as millet, maize, green bananas and cassava...
