Raila Odinga, the Azimio la Umoja - One Kenya presidential flagbearer, has cast his vote at Old Kibra Primary School in Kibra constituency. While making his entry to the polling station, Raila was surrounded with a mammoth of crowd, who blew vuvuzelas and whistles as his motorcade made entry to the premise. The ODM boss walked into the polling station at around 10:30 am alongside his wife Mama Ida Odinga and part of his security team. Polling clerks and officials guided him throughout the voting process and left immediately. His wife Ida voted in a different stream but in the same polling station.

Wajackoyah Unable To Vote As KIEMS Kits Fail

Roots Party presidential candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah was not able to cast his vote at Matungu in Kakamega County after the IEBC KIEMS kit failed. Prof. Wajackoyah turned up at the Indangalasia Primary School at around a quarter past 10 am. No one in the polling station had cast their vote yet at the time. “We are waiting to see what happens, like they have said. They said they would give us another 11 hours and asked us to be patient,” he told voters outside the polling station. Mombasa politician Ali Mwatsau shot & Injured in Tudor

Police in Mombasa are investigating an incident in which an aspirant for a political seat in Mvita Constituency was shot and seriously injured in Tudor area. The politician’s car was sprayed with more than 15 bullets, injuring him. Police say they don’t know the motive of the attack on Ali Mwatsau who is a UDA politician. He was rushed to hospital in stable condition as the hunt for the gunmen continue. According to police, the shooting happened at about 10 pm on Tuesday and the gunmen were in two cars. They sped off soon after the incident. His friends termed the incident a failed assassination even as police warned against speculations.
