Over Ksh.9 Million Worth Of Methamphetamine Drug Seized At JKIA

Detectives have seized Ksh.9 million worth of methamphetamine drug at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). The drugs, weighing more than one kilogram, were concealed inside bicycle saddles. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the consignment was bound for Jakarta, Indonesia. “The drug estimated at over Ksh.9 million was stashed among other items declared as bicycle accessories in a consignment being shipped from Moroni, Comoros,” the DCI said. Detectives deployed at the airport to handle immigration crime and suspicious cargo flagged the consignment. Woman Arrested For Burning Children’s Hands In Athi River

A woman has been arrested after burning her children's hands in Athi River, Machakos County. Police said the woman burnt the hands of her children, aged 6 and 8, as punishment for eating sugar. Kinanie area chief Josphat Musinga confirmed the incident saying the woman committed the heinous act at Kilili area, using a hot knife and nylon paper. "We visited the children in school after receiving a report about the incident. We then took them to Athi River Hospital for treatment," Musinga told Citizen Digital. The suspect spent Wednesday night at Athi River Police Station pending her arraignment.

Three men arrested for selling Narcotics in Mwingi town.

Three suspects were on Monday night arrested after they were found selling narcotic drugs including heroin in Mwingi town. John Musya, Paul Mumo and Julius Musya aged between 23-24 were arrested as they hawked heroin concealed in seven sachets. DCI boss George Kinoti said the suspects sell the illegal drugs to twilight girls, who moonlight in the busy town for bread and butter. Kinoti said over 10 rolls of bhang were also recovered from the suspects. The suspects were placed in custody pending arraignment in court for being in possession and trafficking in narcotics. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested two suspects, among them one masquerading as a woman, for allegedly terrorising joggers in Lang’ata. Peter Omweno Momanyi, 24, was arrested dressed as a woman alongside 25-year-old John Muchiri Kimani after they defied police orders to stop. The officer reportedly noted something amiss with Momanyi’s appearance and ordered them to stop, but they instead took to their heels. They were arrested near the Mbagathi bridge and crude weapons recovered from them; Momanyi was found in possession of a knife and a chain concealed on his waist. The KFCB chief executive Ezekiel Mutua confirmed Omondi was picked for questioning over the wife material reality show episodes.
