Three Arrested Over Viral Assault Of Old Lady and Young Man

Three people have been arrested following an incident where a woman and a young man believed to be her son were assaulted in Ringa, Rachuonyo East, Homa Bay County under unknown circumstances. In a statement, the National Police Service (NPS) said the three; Dedan Kimathi Agan, Enos Odhiambo Osoo and Lukio Okwiri are in police custody. Police added that the three suspects are being processed and will be charged with assault and causing bodily harm. The video clip circulating on social media prompted Kenyans to call on the authorities to bring the perpetrators to book. Police took note of the incident terming it as an act of victimization against the two which is unjustified, unlawful and cruel.

Miguna Only Needs To Fill A One-Page Document

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has clarified details on the requirements exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna needs to meet to return to the country. According to Matiang'i, citing the rule of law, Miguna will be required to fill out a one-page document for citizenship re-registration, which will allow him to return to the country. "You have to fill a piece of paper so that you regain your Kenyan passport or citizenship. A police officer attached to the elite presidential escort unit died by suicide in a bizarre incident in his house in Juja, Kiambu County. Constable Samuel Ngatia who was attached to Deputy President William Ruto’s security team died after shooting himself in the head on Monday morning. Over 30,000 KCPE candidates to join National schools

Some 38,797 KCPE candidates have been selected to join national schools on May 3, 2022. Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha says 214,960 others have been placed in extra county schools while 258,456 will be enrolled in county schools. Another 726,311 students will be enrolled in subcounty schools while 2,045 have been placed in special needs schools. Magoha said more than 800 students from informal settlements are among those selected to join national and extra county schools. He said their selection was based on affirmative action and was purely on merit.  Overall, a total of 1,214,031 candidates sat the 2021 KCPE exam.
