Jambo jet passenger stripped naked infront of employees

Two passengers travelling to Mombasa on Tuesday evening caused drama after the airline alledged gave their seats to two white passengers. In exchange Jambo jet offered the two gentlemen seats at the back. According to the passengers the drama lasted upto One hour thirty minutes which led to cancellation of the flight. One of the passengers stripped naked acusing Jambo jet of racism,both men were later arrested for causing disturbance. They spent the night and are currently being processed for release.

11 Killed In Fire At Uganda School For The Blind

Eleven people have been killed in a blaze that tore through a school for the blind in central Uganda in the early hours of Tuesday, police said. "The cause of the fire is currently unknown but so far 11 deaths as a result of the fire have been confirmed while six are in critical conditions and admitted (to hospital)," the Uganda Police Force said on Twitter. The disaster occurred at about 1 am (2200 GMT Monday) at the Salama School for the Blind in Mukono, southeast of the capital Kampala. Police said an investigation had been launched into the cause of the fire but did not specify if the victims were all students at the school. Suspect in murder of Ida Odinga’s bodyguard to be arraigned in court

The suspect in the murder of Ida Odinga's bodyguard will be arraigned in a Kisumu court on Monday. Collins Oulo Okundi was arrested in Eldoret on Sunday after he surrendered to the police. The suspect was ferried from Eldoret on Monday morning and is currently at the Kisumu High Court cell. A pistol believed to be that of the slain officer was recovered during the arrest. Okundi, a manager at a popular club, is currently being held at Kisumu Central Police station. According to sources, the investigation team will be seeking custodial orders to detain the suspect for more days as they continue with the probe. Kisumu county police commander Alphonse Kimanthi had on Sunday confirmed that the suspect will be arraigned on Monday.

A 60-year-old man was left nursing serious injuries to his face following an attack by a marauding hyena in Raya village, Garissa county. Mzee Abdi Afi Mohamud suffered deep bite wounds around his face area and limbs following what residents termed as an unprovoked attack by the hyena. The old man is said to have been out grazing his herd of goats when the hyena suddenly emerged from the bushes and attacked his flock. “The old man tried to scare away the hyena after it attacked his goat, only for the wild animal to turn on him ferociously,” a source told Wananchi Reporting. The Nairobi City County will dispose 236 unclaimed dead bodies that are laying in morgues within the city.  In a notice, the County said 218 unclaimed bodies are lying at the Nairobi City Mortuary and 18 others are at the Mama Lucy Hospital Mortuary.  Members of the public have been urged to identify and collect the bodies, failure to which they will be disposed after 7 days of the notice.  “Pursuant to the Public Health Act Cap 242 [Subsidiary; PUBLIC HEALTH (PUBLIC MORTUARIES) RULES, 1991] (2). Fred Franzia, the California winemaker who created the Trader Joe's wine popularly known as Two Buck Chuck, died on Tuesday. He was 79. Franzia's death was announced by the Bronco Wine Company, the vintner he founded with his brother, Joseph, and cousin John in 1973. The company said Franzia believed in creating high-quality wines at an affordable cost to consumers. The company's Charles Shaw wines famously sell for just $1.99 a bottle. Franzia died at his home in Denair, California. A cause of death was not provided. Tuesday Declared A Public Holiday For President-Elect Ruto’s Swearing-In

Tuesday, September 13, has been declared a public holiday to pave the way for the swearing-in of President-elect William Ruto as Kenya’s fifth head of state. Head of Public Service Dr Joseph Kinyua who is chairing the Assumption of the Office of President Committee on Tuesday announced the holiday, noting that a gazettement will be issued later this week. “The day of the wearing-in shall be a public holiday of general observance throughout the territory of the Republic of Kenya.
