China urges Gaza To ceasefire

China is willing to do “whatever is conducive” to promote dialogue, secure a ceasefire and restore peace amid the deepening conflict in Gaza, China’s state media has reported, citing the country’s special envoy on the Middle East. Veteran diplomat Zhai Jun is currently on a tour of the region and described the situation in Gaza as “very serious”, state-run China Central Television said on Monday. Canada withdraws 41 Diplomats from India

Forty-one Canadian diplomats have recently left India amid a rift over the murder of a Sikh separatist leader on Canadian soil. India asked Canada two weeks ago to withdraw dozens of its diplomatic staff and threatened to remove their immunity if they remained. Canadian officials called the threat a "violation of international law". Relations have been tense after Canada accused India of being behind the 18 June killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India has denied the allegations, calling them "absurd". Five Dead In Accident Involving Bus, Tractor And Trailer In Kibwezi

Five people died while several others sustained injuries in an accident involving a bus, tractor and a trailer along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway in the Kambu area in Kibwezi, Makueni County on Tuesday night.  According to the Kibwezi Sub-county police commander Peter Maina, the bus was travelling from Nairobi to Mombasa when it hit a tractor and veered, colliding with an oncoming truck. The five died on the spot, said the police boss. The injured were taken to the Kibwezi Sub-county Hospital and the Makindu Sub-county Hospital.

KNUT Secretary General Collins Oyuu Involved In A Road Accident

Collins Oyuu, Secretary General of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), was involved in a road accident in Kisumu County on Monday morning near Kombewa on the Bondo-Kisumu route. According to Nyanza Regional Traffic Enforcement Officer RTEO Allan Mwangi, Oyuu's car overturned while avoiding a cyclist as he rushed to catch a flight at Kisumu International Airport. Mr. Mwangi added that both Oyuu and his driver managed to escape unhurt, but the cyclist was, however, injured. Further investigations are underway.

Police in Kisii are in custody of an illegal consignment of bhang valued at over Ksh.11 million after intercepting its transportation on Sunday. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the consignment was being ferried to Kilgoris, Narok County in a white Toyota Prado when officers on patrol noticed that the car was loaded with suspicious goods.
