Lawyer Evans Monari, who represented former Commissioner of Police Hussein Aliat the International Criminal Court, is dead.  Monari died at the Nairobi Hospital where he was receiving treatment, his family spokesman Ken Monari said Tuesday.  "It is with profound sadness that I would like to inform on behalf of the Ogeto family that Evans has gone to be with the Lord. May the almighty God rest his soul in peace. Thank you for your continued support," said Ken. He was admitted to the hospital's intensive care unit five weeks ago because of multiple organ complications, the spokesman said. Facebook Inc lost an average of Sh24.5 million during every minute it was affected by a service downtime that hit its key applications on Monday. This is according to an estimate by Fortune, the US-based business magazine, which estimated that the tech giant lost a total of Sh11 billion in revenues following the six-hour global outage on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Oculus. Ugandan suspect arrested over murder of woman in Mombasa hotel

A wanted suspect behind the macabre killing of a 25-year-old woman was arrested as he sought to pick his belongings from the scene of the crime in Nyali, Mombasa. Suleiman Mayanja, a Ugandan national who entered the country last month through the Busia border point, was busted by detectives at the Nyali Cinemax, where he was hiding Monday evening. Police said Mayanja, had sent a runner to collect his belongings from the room which he had booked on September 30, when detectives pounced on him. Unknown to the cab driver, undercover cops had laid an ambush in the apartment before he was arrested and later led police to the suspect’s hideout. The glitch has caused messages and interaction interruption among many users. The apps owned by Mark Zuckerberg are widely used to share messages,videos and calls.
