Capital FM’s DJ Lithium commits suicide in office

Capital FM's Alex Nderi alias DJ Lithium breathed his last on Wednesday evening at Nairobi hospital. Sources told Word Is that DJ Lithium collapsed at Capital FM offices and left behind a note. It is at this point that his workmates tried to resuscitate him but to no avail. Before his death, Lithium deleted all his social media accounts and texted close friends and family telling them he is gone.  He passed away while receiving treatment at Nairobi hospital. Saturnino de la Fuente Garcí, the world's oldest man, has passed away. Garci, from Spain, died aged 112 years and 341 days. He broke the record for the longest living man in September 2021 Speaking to Guinness World Records, Garci previously divulged the secret to his long life. DCI dispatched to River Yala to probe 19 unclaimed bodies

A special forensic team has been dispatched to River Yala in a bid to probe the 19 unclaimed bodies. In a statement on Wednesday, Police spokesman Bruno Shioso said the bodies had been dumped in the river for the past two years. The bodies were found in sacks, some tied up and others mutilated.  He denied claims that the 19 bodies were dumped at once. "Despite an appeal from the police, no one has come forward to claim the bodies," he said. Shioso appealed to anyone with information to come forward to aid in the investigations. An earthquake rocked western Afghanistan on Monday, killing more than 20 people and destroying hundreds of homes, local authorities said. The 5.6 magnitude tremor shook the western province of Badghis, bordering Turkmenistan, in the afternoon, reducing brick homes to rubble, according to photos shared by local authorities.
