Body of missing suspected drug dealer Fahmi Bakari found in Thika morgue

The body of a suspected drug dealer Fahmi Bakari Shekuwe was Sunday found at the Thika Mortuary, Kiambu County. This was almost two months after he went missing. Fahmi went missing on December 3, 2021, after leaving Mombasa for Thika for a business trip that turned fatal. HAKI Africa confirmed they identified the body on Sunday. Two weeks ago, the body of another Mombasa based suspected drug trafficker who had gone missing alongside Fahmi was found in a mortuary in Thika. The body of Masuo Bakari Tajiri was badly decomposed and had marks of torture and burns. Tajiri went missing on December 3 alongside Fahmi and one Mohammed Hussein who had accompanied him to Thika to purchase a matatu. At least 10 killed in IED attack on matatu in Mandera

At least 10 passengers were Monday killed and many others wounded when their matatu ran over a bomb set on the road along the Arabia-Mandera Highway. The matatu was ferrying an unknown number of passengers to Mandera Town on Monday morning when it ran over an Improvised Explosive Device. Witnesses said the death toll may rise because the victims had serious injuries. Police said at least eight other passengers were seriously injured in the incident. Police suspect the explosion was set up by al-Shabaab militants operating in the area after crossing the porous Kenya-Somalia border. The musician said KPLC officials removed wires from the pole connecting power to the house despite paying the bill via M-Pesa.
