Wycliffe Okechi Mecha was apprehended by DCI detectives at Malindi sub-county hospital where he was purportedly tending to patients and soliciting money from them and their relatives. The Hospital's Medical Superintendent, Dr. David Mang'ong'o, told Citizen Digital that staff grew wary of Mecha, clad in a lab coat, after he arrived at the facility and started tending to the sick. Four Roaming Buffaloes Captured, Taken To Nairobi National Park

Officers from the Kenya Wildlife Service together with a team of veterinary staff on Thursday captured four buffaloes around Nazarene area, in Rongai, Kajiado county. In an official statement, the KWS said the buffaloes were a threat to the residents of the area. The animals have been taken to a safe place away from humans. “The captured buffaloes were released inside Nairobi National Park in an environment with ample foraging space,” said KWS. The officers said they are actively continuing their search for four remaining buffaloes, so they can move them to the national park. This comes days after the Kenya Wildlife team captured a leopard and a snake that were roaming areas around human settlements, and threatening the safety of the people.
