Farah Maalim Says US Senator Chris Coons Was The Game Changer in Ruto-Raila Truce

Daaadab Member of Parliament Farah Maalim (MP) has opined that the unforeseen truce between President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga on Sunday was occasioned by United States top emissary Senator Chris Coons. This after Senator coons visited the nation and House Representatives on March 29, 2023 where held meetings with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Mr. Odinga. During the meetings, they discussed matters of mutual interest such as trade, security and democracy. Media Council of Kenya and the Kenya Editors Guild Media Launches 2022 Presidential Debates, Set For July.

The Media Owners Association, the Media Council of Kenya and the Kenya Editors Guild,in consultation with Political Parties have launched the Kenya Presidential Debates 2022, ahead of the August polls. The three entities agreed on a joint inclusive approach to the process during a press briefing on Wednesday, March 02, 2022, and appointed Clifford Machoka, currently Head of External Affairs & Marketing, Nation Media Groups, as the Head of the Presidential Debates Secretariat. Machoka will lead a multi-institutional team to engage political party partners and stakeholders in the electoral process, as well as organize the 2022 Presidential and Deputy Presidential Debates. Tokyo Olympics: Kenya Finally Wins First Medal Through Benjamin Kigen

Kigen won the medal after he clocked 8.11.45 to finish third in the final of men's 3000m steeplechase. Kenya lined up two athletes in the event, with Kigen being joined by compatriot Abraham Kibiwott, both of whom made it to the final of the competition. While the country has previously dominated in the race, it was a whole different story in Tokyo as Morocco's Soufiane El Bakkali triumphed to win gold. Ethiopian L. Girma posted 8.10.38 to cart home the silver medal, with Kigen completing the top three podium.
