Police hunting for gunman captured on camera robbing Eastleigh resident

Police are looking for a gunman who was captured on a CCTV camera robbing a man while brandishing his gun in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area. The man was captured in a video that has gone viral after the incident that happened on Eighth Street. Police say the man was caught brandishing a pistol outside Amore restaurant last Thursday before making away with the victim’s valuables. Detectives have already received possible clues on the person and are pursuing leads on his whereabouts and motive. Nairobi deputy police boss James Mugera said they want to interrogate the suspect as part of efforts to solve the crime.

Three bodies recovered after man confesses to killing 12

A man arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of two minor boys has claimed he killed 12 in what police suspect are witchcraft rituals. Two bodies were recovered on Tuesday in a thicket in the Kabete area near Kabete Approved School in Nairobi.  One was found Wednesday afternoon in the Kabete area from a river bank. Police were searching for a fourth body in the Pumwani area. The search was also underway in Machakos. The suspect, Masten Milimu Wanjala, 20, led police to the bodies. He was arrested on Monday in Kitengela. Nairobi police boss Augustine Nthumbi said they are yet to establish the motive behind the murders but suspect witchcraft rituals.
