Cyrus Oguna Calls On Leaders To Advocate For Peace Ahead Of General Election
As the country takes its final sprint to the August 9 General Elections, government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna has appealed to leaders in the political front to champion for peace to Kenyans.
Oguna, in a statement on Sunday, highlighted that in the recent weeks leaders have engaged in 'strong and impressionable' sentiments against one another that threaten the county's peace.
"Some of the words used have the potential to embolden resolve of supporters, and even incite them to possible violence," he wrote on Twitter.
"We run the risk of ending with two or three apples instead of one whole one after elections."
