Rayvanny’s beef with Harmonize escalates

Tanzanian singer Rayvanny has fired back at Harmonize in what seems to be a reignited online beef. The bitter online exchange began when Harmonize told artists to go slow on releasing alcohol-themed songs, which Rayvanny said was a subject Harmoniez to comment on as he had no hit song on alcohol. WHO Renames Monkeypox As ‘Mpox’

The World Health Organization announced Monday that “mpox” is now the preferred name for monkeypox. “Both names will be used simultaneously for one year while ‘monkeypox’ is phased out,” the organization said. The Biden administration said they “welcome the change” and the US will use the mpox name “from this point forward.” Monkeypox was named in 1970, more than a decade after the virus that causes the disease was discovered in captive monkeys, the organization said. KCAA issues new Covid regulations for travelers

All travelers arriving into Kenya through any point of entry must have a certificate of Covid-19 vaccination, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority has said. In a statement, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority said these regulations apply to all with an exemption of travelers with medical conditions precluding vaccination. The Authority said such persons shall be required to provide a letter from a recognized medical practitioner detailing the medical reason precluding vaccination. KCAA has also exempted returning unvaccinated Kenyans who have difficulty accessing vaccines in their current country of residence. Obama tests positive for Covid-19

Former U.S. President Barack Obama said on Sunday he had tested positive for COVID-19 and was feeling fine other than a scratchy throat. "I've had a scratchy throat for a couple of days, but am feeling fine otherwise," Obama wrote on Twitter. "Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative." Demand for ICU beds rises amid surge in virus cases

Kenya is experiencing a surge in Covid-19 cases, the Ministry of Health has warned. With this, there is increased demand for ICU beds in hospitals to accommodate the high number of infections. Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has asked county governments to ensure availability of sufficient oxygen. Kagwe reiterated that the oxygen should be properly piped in the various health facilities. He spoke on Wednesday during a press conference at Afya House on Covid-19 update. "We can already see an increase of demand of ICU beds as well as oxygen requirement,"Kagwe said.
