Hollywood Actress Gwyneth Paltrow wins ski crash trial

Gwyneth Paltrow has prevailed in the civil trial relating to a 2016 ski collision. A Utah jury on Thursday found Paltrow, an Oscar-winning actor and the founder and CEO of Goop, not liable and ruled in her favor in her counterclaim against the man who sued her. Terry Sanderson, a retired optometrist, sued Paltrow over lasting injuries he said he sustained when the two collided at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah more than seven years ago. The jury in the civil trial deliberated for a little over two hours before returning their verdict in favor of Paltrow, who testified that it was Sanderson who skied into her back as she was down slope from him. Tory Lanez Has Been Found Guilty Of Shooting Megan Thee Stallion In The Feet

A jury convicted rapper Tory Lanez on all counts in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, an incident that left her with gunshot wounds in her feet and prompted online hate and attacks on her credibility from his supporters that she described in emotional testimony. Lanez, 30, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was found guilty Friday of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. Couple sues Hospital after babies held over Sh.4 Million Bill.

A couple has moved to court seeking to sue Nairobi South Hospital to release two of their new born babies who have been detained. Charles Ndonye and his wife Virginia Olembo who were blessed with quadruplets claim that the hospital has detained two of their infants. Olembo gave birth on February 1 and was discharged on 26th with two babies and not four. According to court documents the hospital told them they would not discharge the babies because they were still receiving medication but later said they would not release them due to the bill. They argue that the decision to hold on to the minors is illegal and unlawful which infringes on their rights. Court receives mental report on Sonko

A mental assessment report in respect to former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko from the Kenyatta National Hospital has been presented in court today. The Director of Public Prosecutions presented the sealed report in court as had been directed by Magistrate Peter Ooko two weeks ago. The DPP said none of the parties in court are privy to the contents of the report. He urged the matter be mentioned on March 15. Ooko had on March 4 directed that Sonko be examined by a government psychiatrist to confirm if he is fit to stand trial. Magistrate Ooko took note of the medical reports from a panel of four doctors from KNH dated 25 February and another by a Dr Pius.
