Cop Caroline Kangogo’s burial underway

The body of police constable Caroline Kangogo arrived at her parents' Nyawa village home in Elgeyo Marakwet county on Thursday for burial. The body was fitted with a wedding dress as per Kangogo's request in a draft text message found after her death. Her father Barnabas and mother Leah Kangogo led mourners in collecting the body from Iten County Refferal Hospital morgue. Officers from Nakuru where Kangogo served were present at the burial, as well as hundreds of residents. Kangogo's former husband Ngeno and family members from Bomet also attended the burial. The body was ferried in a hearse and police were not involved in transporting it to the home. Kangogo's brother Mark said the family will give Caroline a decent burial. Magufuli body arrives at Uhuru Stadium for Public viewing.

The body of the late former president John Pombe Magufuli was on Saturday to Uhuru Stadium for public viewing. This was after a brief funeral service held at St.Peter Oysterbay church. The body was carried in a military truck under tight security security by Tanzania Defense Forces. Tanzania flocked to the streets to catch a glimpse of the convoy carrying the late president’s remains. At Uhuru stadium citizens consoled magufuli’s Janet as grief overwhelmed her. Thousands of Tanzanias were seen seated at he 23,000 seat capacity stadium to pay their respects. Magufuli will be buried on March 25.
