Japan Ambassador to Kenya and wife entertain Uhuru with ‘Daima mimi mKenya’ song
Outgoing Japan's Ambassador to Kenya Ryoichi Horie and his wife on Wednesday sang for president Uhuru Kenyatta at State House.
Carrying a guitar, Horie was heard being the lead singer in the Daima mimi mKenya song that was originally sang by Eric Wainaina.
“Umoja ni fahari yetu, Undugu ndio nguvu, Chuki na ukabila Hatutaki hata kamwe, Lazima tuungane, tuijenge nchi yetu, Pasiwe hata mmoja, Anaetenganisha,” Horie sang as the wife gave him support.
“Daima mimi Mkenya..mwananchi mzalendo..” they conclude and got into Malaika,nakupenda malaika song.
By this time, Uhuru who was keenly watching and being entertained together with other officials, had begun clapping.
“Congratulations..well done. Asante sana,” Uhuru said as he moved closer to the couple.
