Cops linked to Embu brothers’ deaths detained for 14 days
A court has allowed an application by the state to detain six police officers linked to the death of two Embu brothers - Benson Ndwiga (22), and Emmanuel Ndwiga (19) for 14 days.
The officers were on Tuesday arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts.
They are PC Lilian Cherono, PC Martin Wanyama, Cpl Benson Mputhia PC Nicholas Sang, PC James Mwaniki and Cpl Consolota Kariuki.
Only Kariuki had a lawyer.
The prosecution in the case is led by Assistant DPP Jacinta Nyamosi while the LSK represented by Nelson Havi is representing the family of the deceased.
The case was mentioned before Principal Magistrate Daniel Ndugi as it was a miscellaneous application for more days to hold them.
