Cristiano Ronaldo gesture causes ‘$4 billion’ loss for Coca-Cola.

Cristiano Ronaldo caused a stir on Monday with a gesture involving two bottles of Coca-Cola which soon went viral on social media. Ronaldo, speaking ahead of Portugal’s Euro 2020 group-stage clash against Hungary, spotted the two bottles of carbonated drinks and immediately moved them away. The legendary forward then proceeded to take out a bottle of water and said to the cameras: “Agua! (Water!)”. Ronaldo has previously spoken out about his dislike of sugary soft drinks. The 36-year-old, who famously treats his body like a temple and is in remarkable physical condition for his age as a direct result, doesn’t like his eldest son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr consuming such products. "I'm hard with him sometimes because he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta sometimes and I'm p***** with ...

CRISTIANO RONALDO UPSET AT COKE BOTTLES AT PODIUM

Christano Ronaldo hates processed drinks so much, he removed Coke bottles from his podium Monday ... all while imploring people to drink water instead. Ronaldo's rejection of the sweet stuff went down just before a meeting with the media ahead of Portugal's UEFA Euro 2020 game with Hungary ... and the whole thing was caught on video. You can see in the footage, just before reporters fired questions at the soccer star, he noticed Cokes placed in front of him (Coke is a sponsor of Euro 2020) and immediately gave them a look of disdain. But, rather than just keeping the products there like tournament officials no doubt wanted -- Ronaldo straight-up grabbed the bottles and moved them out of his sight. He then held up a bottle of water, screamed, "agua!" ... and then appeared t...

National government to take over construction of Dandora stadium

City Hall is considering handing over stalled Dandora Stadium to the national government for its completion. This follows delays by the stadium’s contractor to return on site to complete the construction of the Sh350 million facility. Nairobi County Education and Sports Executive Janet Ouko said they are mulling engaging the State Department for Public Works, in a government-to-government agreement, to take over the remaining bit of work at the stadium. This as efforts to have the contractor, M/S Scanjet Construction Limited, back on site to finalise the remaining construction works has proven futile. In February, President Uhuru Kenyatta directed City Hall to ensure the stadium is completed to benefit 32 teams that depend on the ground.  “At the end of the day, th...

North Korea to skip games due to global pandemic Covid-19 fears

North Korea will not join the Tokyo Olympics this year due to coronavirus concerns, the country’s sports ministry said on Tuesday. It will be the first time North Korea has missed a Summer Olympics since it boycotted Seoul in 1988 amid the Cold War. South Korean President Moon Jae-in had hoped the two countries, still technically at war after their 1950-53 conflict ended in a truce, not a peace treaty, could field a combined team in Tokyo and rebuild momentum for improved relations. The North’s withdrawal from Tokyo is also a setback for plans, agreed at a 2018 summit between Moon and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, to pursue a joint Korean bid to host the 2032 Games. When South Korea hosted the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in 2018, Kim sent his sister to head the coun...
