Head teacher Commits suicide In School

A primary school headteacher took his own life inside his offices at the institution's administration block.  Kioko Mutie committed suicide on Monday evening, June 21, 2021, at Yanyonge Primary School.  Area Assistant Chief Mulinge Wambua confirmed the incident, stating that they were astounded by the death as the 46-year-old as he was a charistmatic leader. "He had never shown any signs of depression as he was full of life," Wambua noted.  The authorities could not ascertain why he took his own life. A chopper has crashed in the Oltinga area of Kajiado West sub-county with an unconfirmed number of passengers. Kajiado County Police Commander Muthuri Mwongera said the accident happened about 8 am and details of the chopper and the number of passengers remains unknown. “I have dispatched Kajiado West OCPD Vincent Kitili, to the scene in Oltinga to get us details,” Mwongera said. The police commander confirmed that it is an Army chopper that crashed 60 km south of Oloopolos. Such choppers, they say, can carry a maximum of 26 passengers. Detectives from the Directorate of the Criminal Investigations (DCI) have today arrested six more suspects linked to robberies of motorists and pedestrians along the Southern Bypass, Nairobi. The suspects nabbed include; Messi Martha Mutioka, Tevin Njuguna, Edward Baraza Shikoba, Lawrence Gitahi Ndirangu, Kenneth Maina Chege and David Lugali Asianja. All were aged between 21 and 32 years old. The Langata based detectives, in collaboration with sleuths attached to the Crime Research  and Intelligence Bureau, used cyber and forensic analysis to track the suspects.
