Police on Wednesday dispersed Saba Saba protesters, who took to the streets to march for a fair living. The human rights campaigners and youths were campaigning against youth unemployment and harsh economic times. The march is to mark the 31st Saba Saba, which is marked on July 7 every year. This is to commemorate the Second Liberation struggle in Kenya. Three police officers were caught on camera assaulting a mentally challenged man at the Lodwar County Referral Hospital in Turkana. The officers are said to have handcuffed the man before they beat him up for allegedly causing disturbance at the facility. In the one minute, twenty three seconds video, the patient shouted at the top of his voice as he begged the officers to have mercy on him but they could hear non of his pleas. Man dressed as woman among two suspects arrested in Lang’ata

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested two suspects, among them one masquerading as a woman, for allegedly terrorising joggers in Lang’ata. Peter Omweno Momanyi, 24, was arrested dressed as a woman alongside 25-year-old John Muchiri Kimani after they defied police orders to stop. The officer reportedly noted something amiss with Momanyi’s appearance and ordered them to stop, but they instead took to their heels. Seven Judge bench begin hearing of BBI appeal case.

The BBI case at the Court of Appeal opened Monday with the government securing its first win after the judges struck out part of an appeal filed by Nairobi lawyer Charles Kanjama. Court of Appeal president, Justice Daniel Musinga, appointed the seven-judge bench to hear and determine five appeals filed against the High Court ruling. Justice Musinga will be the presiding judge on the bench that will determine the fate of President Uhuru Kenyatta's BBI. The other judges are Justices Roselyne Nambuye, Hannah Okwengu, Patrick Kiage, Gatembu Kairu, Fatuma Sichale and Francis Tuiyott. The judges are drawn from various court stations.

Kenya Police in Kirinyaga are holding a 19-year-old girl for allegedly murdering her boyfriend over infidelity. Confirming the two incidents, Mwea West Sub county police commander Stephen Okal said the incident happened in Ciagiini village where Jacklyn Wawira, 19, stabbed to death her 25 year old boyfriend, Eric Gitonga. The young lady, who is said to be a form two drop out, carried out the act in her grandmotherâs compound where she has been staying. NTSA relocates its headquarters

The National Transport and Safety Authority has announced the relocation of its headquarters. In a statement, the authority said its headquarters has been moved from Hill Park Building to 316 Upper Hill Chambers, along 2nd Ngong Avenue in Nairobi. Individuals who require the authority's services in Nairobi will be served from the new offices. The move comes about three weeks after NTSA announced the resumption of services after it closed down its online portal for a system upgrade and maintenance. The authority said after the upgrade, services would run on two portals ( timsvirl.ntsa.go.ke and  tims.ntsa.go.ke ) until June 30, 2021. African Union High Representative for Infrastructure Development, Raila Odinga is in Ethiopia for a ministerial meeting for the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia-Transport corridor. The ministerial meeting brings together stakeholders from relevant departments in the region to review the project’s progress. "The regional initiative is a game-changer on matters of infrastructure development," Raila tweeted on Monday.
