Kuria has been in the renowned city for nearly four months receiving specialised treatment after suffering burn injuries in late September 2021. Form Two student dies after jumping off classroom building

A Form Two student at Ndarawetta girls’ secondary school in Bomet central died by suicide after jumping off the rooftop of their classroom Thursday morning. The lifeless body of the 20-year-old was discovered by students who were attending their usual morning preps. They immediately alerted the administration. Bomet central sub-County police Commander Musa Imamai said they received the report about the incident prompting his investigating officers to visit the institution. Two murder fugitives who were arrested in Nairobi over the weekend have been extradited to face trial in the UK. Mohamud Abdihakim ,24 and Monteiro Mangal 21, both British nationals, were arrested on Sunday in Kilimani, following intelligence leads. An international arrest warrant had been issued against them for the brutal murder of a 16-year-old Alex Smith, from Wembley, in northwest London. Smith was attacked on August 12, 2019 in Munster Square, by a rival group of six men who were driving in two stolen vehicles, a Ford Fiesta and a Seat Leon. Body of missing suspected drug dealer Fahmi Bakari found in Thika morgue

The body of a suspected drug dealer Fahmi Bakari Shekuwe was Sunday found at the Thika Mortuary, Kiambu County. This was almost two months after he went missing. Fahmi went missing on December 3, 2021, after leaving Mombasa for Thika for a business trip that turned fatal. HAKI Africa confirmed they identified the body on Sunday. Two weeks ago, the body of another Mombasa based suspected drug trafficker who had gone missing alongside Fahmi was found in a mortuary in Thika. The body of Masuo Bakari Tajiri was badly decomposed and had marks of torture and burns. At least 10 killed in IED attack on matatu in Mandera

At least 10 passengers were Monday killed and many others wounded when their matatu ran over a bomb set on the road along the Arabia-Mandera Highway. The matatu was ferrying an unknown number of passengers to Mandera Town on Monday morning when it ran over an Improvised Explosive Device. Witnesses said the death toll may rise because the victims had serious injuries. Police said at least eight other passengers were seriously injured in the incident. More security personnel were Wednesday deployed to Lamu following an attack by suspected al Shabaab terrorists at Lango la Simba area near Nyongoro. Police said a team of court officials were shot at and injured by the gunmen as they headed to Garsen town from Kipini Mobile Court at around 5.50 pm.
