Four Roaming Buffaloes Captured, Taken To Nairobi National Park

Officers from the Kenya Wildlife Service together with a team of veterinary staff on Thursday captured four buffaloes around Nazarene area, in Rongai, Kajiado county. In an official statement, the KWS said the buffaloes were a threat to the residents of the area. The animals have been taken to a safe place away from humans. “The captured buffaloes were released inside Nairobi National Park in an environment with ample foraging space,” said KWS. The officers said they are actively continuing their search for four remaining buffaloes, so they can move them to the national park. This comes days after the Kenya Wildlife team captured a leopard and a snake that were roaming areas around human settlements, and threatening the safety of the people.

Four Workers At St Andrews School Electrocuted

Police Officers from Molo Police Station led by OCS Johnson Lemuna together with their  Kenya Power counterparts visited the scene before visiting the four men who were recuperating at St Joseph's Hospital in Molo to establish the nature of the incident that had befallen them. According to a St Joseph's Hospital medical report seen the four men, two aged 60 years and the others 58 and 50 years sustained burns on their chests and legs. The school's administration declined to comment on the incident.

In a notice seen by the Star, the Public Service Commission (PSC) said that qualified and interested Kenyans have until March 19, to submit their applications. Journalist Jacque Maribe has been acquitted in the Monica Kimani murder case. Maribe was acquitted by Justice Grace Nzioka of the Milimani Law Courts on Friday, over lack of evidence. The government has announced scholarship opportunities for students poor students who wish to pursue a certificate course in Community Health Nursing. The scholarships are being offered by the Kenya Medical Training College in collaboration with Beyond Zero. Police have so far arrested four suspects linked with bearing the greatest responsibility for Thursday night’s gas explosion in Mradi, Embakasi East, which killed six people and injured nearly 300 others.
