Court issues arrest warrant against Ndichu brothers

Nairobi court has issued an arrest warrant against two brothers- Paul Ndichu and Edward Ndichu after they once again failed to appear in court for their assault case. Kibera chief magistrate Ann Mwangi ordered the police to arrest the duo. "Since the accused person is not in court despite a court order I, therefore, issue a warrant of arrest against them," Mwangi ruled. The lawyer holding brief in the matter had told the court that the accused persons lawyer was in another matter at the high court. "I am holding brief in the matter and I have instructions to ask for another date since their lawyer is in another matter at the high court," he said. The Ministry of Health has announced the ban on feeding bottles from May 28. This comes after Parliament recently passed into law the Breast Milk Supplements (BMS) Regulation and Control Act of 2012 that listed the bottles used for feeding infants as designated products, to mean items that are within the scope of regulation by the law. Matatus To Stop Accesing Nairobi CBD Starting April

Matatus are set to be barred from operating in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) starting April. The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) says that the Green Park, Desai and Park Road bus termini will start operations by the end of April. Matatus plying the Ngong, Lang'ata, and Argwings Kodhek roads will be the first to be affected, according to NMS transport and Public Works Director Engineer Michael Ochieng. Currently, the Green Park terminal is 98% complete and will accommodate between 300 and 350 vehicles at go, and up to 20,000 in a day. KCAA issues new Covid regulations for travelers

All travelers arriving into Kenya through any point of entry must have a certificate of Covid-19 vaccination, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority has said. In a statement, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority said these regulations apply to all with an exemption of travelers with medical conditions precluding vaccination. The Authority said such persons shall be required to provide a letter from a recognized medical practitioner detailing the medical reason precluding vaccination. KCAA has also exempted returning unvaccinated Kenyans who have difficulty accessing vaccines in their current country of residence. Two suspected Al-Shabaab militants were Sunday killed in an ongoing operation in Boni Forest, Lamu County. The two were killed in the Sarira area within the expansive forest and guns found on them. Kenya army troops that clashed with the two said they were in a group of four and that two others escaped. The area has been under operation for years as Kenya seeks to remove the terrorists and their remnants from the region.
