Kembi Gitura’s appointment to Kemsa Board revoked by President Uhuru.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has revoked the appointment of Kembi Gituri to the Kemsa board.
He has instead appointed Mary Mwadime as the chairperson of the board.
In a Gazette notice dated April, the president said that Mwadime’s term in office will start on April 30 for a period of three years.
The revocation follows the Kemsa procurement scandal.
Last month, lawmakers raised concerns over Gitura's appointment to the Communications Authority.
The committee chaired by Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir said the appointment of the former Murang’a senator was in bad taste considering the investigation into the Kemsa scandal was ongoing.
