
President Uhuru Kenyatta has declared a cessation of movement in five counties, this include Nairobi, Kajiado,Machakos,Kiambu and Nakuru counties.
The counties were put under cessation of movement for the next 30 days.
Uhuru said kenya’s covid positivity rate has jumped tenfold from 2.6% in January to 22% in March.
This means that if you test positive 100 people,20 will test positive worse in Nairobi where six out of ten test positive.
Uhuru said the third wave is expected to peak in the next 30 days.
The Kenya private sector Alliance had asked uhuru Kenyatta to impose strict measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
