SIMBA TO KICK OFF TRAINING AHEAD OF JULY AFRICA CUP.

Kenya Simbas to kick off training next month ahead of the Africa Cup fixtures in July.

Kenya Rugby Union Chairman Odour Gangla said players will have found some rhythm to their game following the start of the Kenya Cup two weeks ago.

Gangla said by the time preparations begin the players will have played at least which will be key following last year Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Gangla Plans are in place for the team to start training camp in April at the bare minimum and the players will have at least five matches under their belts which will be good for the team.

The proposed training camp in Stellenbosch South Africa in April will cost Sh. 20 million. Gangla also said the fundraising for the course is ongoing as they are speaking to the ministry and partners to gain their support.

The Simbas will play two build up matches in addition to a high performance in readiness for the continental match ups against Zambia and Senegal and must win matches if they are to take part in the final round of the World cup qualifiers.

The Simbas missed out on the 2019 World cup in Japan after losing their three matches against Germany, Hong Kong and Canada.
