The artistes’ for the annual Tusker Oktobafest has been confirmed, in what will be a month-long cultural celebration across the region.
The festival, organized by East African Breweries, has unveiled a line-up of musicians that will stage performances in South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.
Kicking off the festivities in Juba, South Sudan, on October 21, will be Tanzanian hitmaker Harmonize, alongside South Sudan’s John Frog and Kenya’s Ndovu Kuu, who is also the Tusker brand ambassador.
In Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, on the same day, the festival will continue with a line-up that includes Uganda’s legendary artiste Jose Chameleone, Tanzania’s Ali Kiba, as well as Kenyan rapper/singer Nyashinski.
The following day, on October 22, the festival will head to Kampala in Uganda with performances from Harmonize, Nyashinski and the neighbouring country’s very own Azawi.
The festival will culminate in a three-day grand finale set for October 27-29 at Nairobi’s Ngong Racecourse, featuring the likes of arguably Tanzania’s biggest artiste Diamond Platnumz, Kenya’s Nyashinski, and South Sudan’s John Frog.
