Two people died on the spot and five others sustained serious injuries after the car they were travelling in lost control and rolled at Kwa Kavemba area in Makueni County.
The accident occurred on Saturday at around 6am when the passengers were heading to Komarock Catholic Pilgrimage for prayer.
The injured were taken to Mbumbuni sub-county hospital while the bodies of the deceased were taken to Tawa mortuary.
